The Black Pig Festival 2023

The Black Festival is back bigger and better for 2023. Check out our incredible line of events perfect for a day out with friends or family, from fun sports day, live music, food fair and more.

The festival is run from Thursday 27th – Monday 31st of July. Keep up to date on any event changes by following us on Facebook or Instagram.

Thursday 27th

• 7pm: Official opening at Church
• 7pm: Our Famous Pig on the Spit, at the church sponsored by Igoe Meats
• 7pm: Taste of Enniscrone food fair, sample local delights, at the church
• 8pm (Doors), Event 10pm: Dj Trolley Beach Party in the beach music marquee

Friday 28th

• 12pm: Golf Classic, Enniscrone Golf Club, teams of 4, 4 great prizes call to book, 096 36297
• 2pm- 5pm: Childrens busking Event, on beach promenade
• 5pm: Waterpoint Aqua Centre kids triathlon (Swim, run, Cycle)
• 5pm – 8pm: Fun Sports Day Event in Castlefield with inflatable fun and nostalgic games
• 8pm – 11pm: Teen Disco in McFirbis Hall, Kilglass, Admission €10
• 9pm: Cliona Hagan & Emma Donohue, in the beach music marquee, (Doors 8pm)

Saturday 29th

• 10am: Yoga in the Marquee at the Beach with Roots Wellness
• 11am-4pm: Piggy Picnic Day with face painters at the Beach Marquee sponsored by Ocean Sands Hotel
• 12-2pm: Orienteering with Tonnta Adventure in the Hollow
• 12 noon: Tanya’s Storytelling at the Library
• 12 noon: Heritage Walk with Local Historian Paddy Tully deports 12 noon at the Church
• 1-4pm: Mr Majestic Magic Show at the Marquee at the Beach sponsored by Gilroys Bar
• 3.30pm: Coleman’s Electronic Swim Event at The Pier
• 6 -10pm: Buskers on Main Street – All Buskers Welcome
• 9 – 11pm: Stuart Moyles Live Music at the Gig Rig at the Church
• 9pm: The Tumbling Paddies & Da Beardos in the Beach Music Marquee
(Tickets on EventBright.ie, Doors 8pm)

Sunday 30th

• 9am: Walk with Enniscrone Walking Club meet at the Library
• 10am: Yoga in Marquee at the Beach with Roots Wellness
• 10 & 11am: Explore the Shore with Conor Ryan – Adults at 10am & Children at 11am (accompanied by an adult)
• 11am: Archaeological Beach Dig Aged 5-10 (accompanied by on adult) @The Small Beach – 30 minute slots
• 11 – 2.30pm: Sandcastles Competition on the Small Beach, judging at 2.30pm
• 1pm: Duck Race €2 per duck, prize for 1st. 2nd & last Duck.
• 1.30pm: Puc Fada on Beach. €2 entry, cash prize.
• 12 – 3pm: Precious Pets, Mobile Animal Farm in the Hollow Sponsored by Diamond Coast Hotel
• 1pm – 3pm: Really Grand Events, Family Entertainment Show & Puppets in the Beach Marquee
• 3.30pm: All Ireland final, Live on TV, with a licenced bar in the Beach Marquee
• 6pm -8pm: Party at the Pier — Music with Rollin Tones Vinyl Van. Dance display. Harbour SUP & more
• 9pm: Jimmy Buckley A Stuart Moyles Live in the Beach Music Marquee (Tickets on Eventbrite.ie, Doors 8pm)
• 11pm: Spectacular Fireworks Display – Sponsored by Lacken Wind Energy

Monday 31st

  • 5pm & 6pm: Pitch n Putt Main Street – Closest to the hole – Prizes to be won
  • 7pm: Black Pig 5km & 10km Fun Run – Registration at the Marquee from 6pm or online at Eventbrite, sponsored by Joe Queenan, Finish at the Beach Marquee
  • 7:30pm: Run prize giving, refreshments, Pat Boyle, Disco in the Beach Marquee to close the Festival Weekend
